Blueprint Details

The Blueprint detail page — actions, subscription status, the list of Modifiers, base details, and versions.

Blueprint Details

Clicking a Blueprint’s name opens its detail page, which has several parts.

Blueprint Actions Menu

At the top, the actions menu lets you edit, rename, delete, and manage the subscription attributes of the Blueprint.

Subscription Status

The page shows whether the Blueprint is published or subscribed, and whether AutoSync is on. For a subscribed Blueprint with AutoSync on, it will automatically receive updates the publisher releases.

List of Modifiers

Blueprints have Modifiers — parameterized, install-ready instances of the Blueprint. Think of a Blueprint as a recipe and a Modifier as the finished dish: Assets consume Modifiers, not Blueprints. A Blueprint can have more than one Modifier (for example, one printer Blueprint deploying the same printer model at different IPs), though one is often enough. Use Create New Modifier to add Modifiers, or the pencil and trash icons to edit and delete them.

Blueprint Details and Versions

The detail section shows the Blueprint’s name, category, scope, and base Properties. The Versions section lists each version of the Blueprint. Each version can contain slightly different instructions, so as a Blueprint is refined over time you may see multiple versions.

Why would a Blueprint have multiple Modifiers?

What does AutoSync mean here?
For a subscribed Blueprint, AutoSync automatically pulls in the publisher’s updates.

Why are there multiple versions?
Each version can hold slightly different instructions as the Blueprint is refined over time.
