Force Geolocation on ChromeOS Devices

If your Chromebooks and other ChromeOS devices are not showing accurate location even after you deploy the ChromeOS extension, force geolocation through Google Workspace.

To Force Geolocation via Google Workspace

  • Sign in to your Google Workspace admin account.
  • Go to Device Management → Chrome Management → User Settings → Security → Geolocation.
  • Select Allow sites to detect users’ geolocation from the drop-down.
